Dunster Village is approx 40 mins from the M5 motorway Jct23 (Bridgwater), off the A39, just before Minehead on the A396.

To get to us take the M5 motorway towards Bridgewater. Follow the signs to Minehead via the A39. Dunster is clearly signposted, just before Minehead.

Dunster Village is situated on the A396 which runs through the village and includes the High Street. We are at number 13 The High Street (postcode TA24 6SF).

If you are not able to use our Free parking at the front of The Olde House at 13 High Street (perhaps due to high demand) then you can use the Public 'Dunster Steep' car park.

This is located on the south-eastern side of the A396 approx 200 metres from its junction with the A39. It is a long stay "Pay and Display" facility controlled by West Somerset Council. It can accommodate parking of 109 vehicles. Charging hours are 9.00 am to 6.00 pm daily including Bank Holidays.

To get to The Olde House from this car park, follow the footpath 400 metres South, up the Steep (on the A396), past the National Park Tourist Information Centre and into the High Street.

Assuming you are travelling to us from Taunton, go to the Taunton Bus Station. The number 28 bus service runs between Taunton and Minehead  - for #28 timetable see here.

The #28 bus stops at the bottom of The Steep, at the north end of the village.  To get to The Olde House you will need to follow the footpath South, up the Steep to the High Street. You will find The Olde House at number 13 High Street TA24 6SF.

The number 198 bus service runs  between Dulverton and Minehead. The #198 timetable can be seen here. It stops in Dunster High Street 15 metres away from The Olde House.

Mainline trains do not run direct to Dunster Village, so you will need to combine a train journey with a bus journey.

Assuming you are travelling to us from London or Birmingham, take a mainline train to Taunton mainline station.

This station is 1 hour 47 minutes from London Paddington and 2 hours from Birmingham.

Leave the train at Taunton Train Station, and walk to Taunton Bus Station.

The number 198 bus service runs  between Dulverton and Minehead. For timetable see:  www.dulvertontowncouncil.co.uk

Both the #28 bus and the #198 buses stop at the bottom of the Steep, at the north end of the village.  To get to The Olde House you will need to follow the footpath up the Steep along the A396  into the High Street.

The West Somerset Railway runs Steam Trains to Dunster from Bishops Lydeard (1 hr 10mins) or from Minehead (7 mins) stopping at Dunster Station.

A free Vintage bus runs from the station on Bank Holidays and special days.

A new national coastal cycle path is being constructed, opening summer 2016 that will run close to Dunster Village.
